Top cars that are still available with a Manual Transmission in 2020

Here is a list of top manual transmission cars still available on the market today. We have lost the majority of the sports cars to the much quicker shifting Dual Clutch Transmission today but there is something so satisfying about rowing through the gears on back, canyon roads.

BMW 2 Series
Apart from 2 series GranCoupe, every trim of the 2 series comes in a manual transmission variant. 230i, M240i, M240i convertible and my favourites the M2 Competition and the M2 CS

BMW 4 Series
Every Trim of the 4 Series still offers a manual variant. The 430i, 440i, 440i xDrive Coupe, 430i Gran Coupe and both the coupe and convertible versions of the M4 come with a 6-speed manual.

Chevrolet Camaro
Every version of the Camaro is available in a manual version. The base 1LS with the turbo 2.0 Litre to top of the line ZL1 1LE with its supercharged 6.2L v8.

Dodge Challenger
A few versions of this American Muscle car comes with a 6-speed manual. But this is the only coupe by the Fiat Chrysler group that still offers a manual in the U.S. now.

Fiat 124 Spider
Similar to the Mazda Miata the Fiat spider comes with a 6-speed manual. This is the only convertible by the fiat Chrysler group that still offers a manual transmission.

Ford Mustang
Be it a 4cylinder eco boost or a 5.0L v8 the mustang comes in a 6 speed manual in both its coupe & convertible variants. But if you want to go up a notch, then you will be disappointed to know that unlike the Shelby GT350, the Shelby GT500 doesn't come in a manual & dual-clutch is the only option you can have.

Lotus Evora GT
Currently, the Evora GT is the only car that Lotus sells and it is the only mid-engine sports car available with a manual transmission right now.

Mazda MX-5 Miata
The Miata offers a manual transmission as an option on the roadster and the retractable fastback versions of the car. The manual transmission has always been an option on the Miata since the first-generation model.

Nissan 370Z
The 370Z comes with a rev-matching manual transmission on most of its trim levels. Nismo is one of my personal favourites from Nissan. I am glad they killed the convertible though.
Porsche 718 Boxster / 718 Cayman
Both Cayman and the Boxster offer a stick or an automatic transmission option on all their trim levels apart from their hardcore Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder which come only in a Manual Transmission.

Porsche 911
If the six-speed manual is not enough than Porsche has a 7speed option on its 992 Carrera S and 4S in both coupe and convertible variants. The base Carrera coupe and convertible cannot be optioned with a manual currently. The Targa models and the GTS models can be specked with a 7-speed manual but the only one that comes with a 6 speed is a Speedster. But good luck finding one of those.

Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86
Jointly developed Toyota 86 and the Subaru BRZ come standard with a six-speed manual. Although you can get an automatic based on the trim you pick. It's a shame they didn't make the new supra in a manual.

Subaru Impreza / WRX / STI
Subaru enthusiasts can still get their base sedan, base hatch or the sports hatch in a 5-speed manual as opposed to a CVT. The manual transmission on this rally car makes it very desirable in the younger crowd.

I would have wanted to add the corvette to this list but the C7, unfortunately, was the last of the manual Corvettes and the new mid-engine Corvette only comes with a dual-clutch so far.
